Attic insulation

Wild Atlantic Way Contractors Attic insulation Cork Kerry and Limerick.

Attic insulation saves heat and money in you home. You can reduce your heating bills by 50% with the average attic insulation paying for itself in less than 3 years. It also prevents pipes from freezing in winter time.

Attic insulation is now a very important aspect of your home. If your attic insulation is not properly installed you could be losing up to 40% of your home’s heat per annum. This means a considerable amount of money being wasted in heating fuel over a year. An inferior attic insulation job means it’s costing you money.

If your home has a pitched roof and some attic space, the most common attic insulation solution is to lay two layers of quilted insulation in a criss-cross manner on the floor of your attic.

We can also provide an alternative method which involves blowing padding / insulating fibre derived from recycled cellulose material and spray it foam like across the floor…

Nearly everyone now use their attics for storage. When insulating material is compacted or squashed or torn it is not as effective. One resolution to this problem is to build a timber sheeted floor over of the new insulation. Home Bound roofing and guttering can advise you on the best storage solutions for your attic space.
